Flip-Flop:

Flip-Flop is a data storage element. Its content changes only either at the rising or falling edge of the enabled signal (controlling clock signal). It has 2 stable states and hence sometimes it is referred to as a bistable-multivibrator.
Flips-Flops are synchronous bistable devices, also known as bistable multivibrators.
Synchronous means, output changes state only at a specified point on a triggering input called clock (CLK), which is designated as a control input.

S-R Flip Flop

J-K Flip Flop

D Flip Flop
