Average = Sum of observation/no of observation
Calculation:
Checking statement 1
Prime number between 30 and 50 are 31, 37, 41, 43, 47
Average = (31 + 37 + 41 + 43 + 47)/5 = 199/5 = 39.8
Statement 2: The average of the first 15 natural numbers is 150.
The first 15 natural numbers are 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 , 14 , 15 now,
Average = sum of the numbers / total number of numbers
⇒ (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 + 14 + 15)/15 = 120/15 = 8
