Average gate power dissipation = 0.5 W

i.e., Pg = Vg Ig = 0.5 W

Given Range of Gate voltage is 2 V to 10 V

Case (i)

Consider, Vg = 2 V

∴ \(\rm I_g = \frac{P_g}{V_g} = \frac{0.5}{2}= 0.25 \ A\)

Case (ii)

Consider, Vg = 10 V

 \(\therefore \rm I_g = \frac{0.5}{2}= 0.05 \ A\)
