Speed of first man = 4 km/hr
Speed of second man = 6 km/h
Formula used:-
Distance = Speed x Time
Calculation:-
Distance = 4 ×T
For the second motorist (traveling at 6 km/h)
Distance = 6 × (T - 0.5)
Their distances must be the same
⇒ Distance1 = Distance2
⇒ 4T = 6(T - 0.5)
⇒ T = 3/2 Hours
Distance = 4 km/h × (3/2) hours = 6 km
∴ The motorist traveling at 4 km/h traveled a distance of 6 km to reach the destination.
