রেখাটি (2, 1) বিন্দুর মধ্যে দিয়ে যায়।
আমরা বিবৃতি 2 থেকে কিছুই পাই না।
বিবৃতি 1 এবং 2 দের মিলিয়ে পাই∶
∵ রেখাটি যদি (2, 1) বিন্দু দিয়ে যায় , তাহলে তারা y রেখার সমীকরণটি সিদ্ধ করে = mx + 2
∴ x = 2 এবং y = 1 এই মান এই রেখার সমীকরণে বসিয়ে পাই
⇒ 1 = 2m + 2
