Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
Kapil bought 120 kgs of Tamarind = Rs. 100 per kg
Pay for transport = Rs. 480
Other charges = Rs. 60
Taxes = 0.50 per kg
Calculation:
Cost price of Tamarind = 120 x 100 = Rs. 12000
Total tax on 120 kg Tamarind = 0.5 x 120 = Rs. 60
Total Cost price with expenses = 12000 + 480 + 60 + 60 = Rs. 12600
For getting 25% profit Selling price = 12600 x (100 + 25)%
= Rs. 15,750
Total selling price per kg = 15,750/120 = 131.25 Rs per kg
To gain 25% profit, he has to sell the product per kg. at Rs. 131.25 Rs per kg
