🧮 UPSC Prelims Answer Key Marking Scheme

The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination comprises two objective-type papers: General Studies Paper I and General Studies Paper II (CSAT). Each paper carries 200 marks.

General Studies Paper I –

• Contains 100 questions, each worth 2 marks.
• For every incorrect answer, 0.66 marks are deducted (which is 1/3rd of the marks assigned to a question).
• Unanswered questions do not attract any penalty.

CSAT (General Studies Paper II):

• Comprises 80 questions, each carrying 2.5 marks.
