West Bengal Primary Teacher 2025 Eligibility 

In order to get recruited at the Primary Teacher post, an aspirant must fulfill some eligibility criteria. As per the official notification by West Bengal Board of Primary Education, any Non-Indian person (who holds citizenship of any other country) is not eligible for applying for this post. West Bengal Primary Teacher Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the said post, the applicant must have the minimum prescribed qualification and training as prescribed by NCTE along with either of the following qualifications:

• TET qualified candidates pursuing D.El.Ed. or B.Ed. courses who have qualified 1st Semester.
• Qualified WB TET conducted by WBBPE.

The applicants must have written and verbal proficiency in the language of the medium of instructions of the schools for which they wish to apply.

West Bengal Primary Teacher Age Limit

The age of the applicants, as on 1st January 2025, should be between 18 to 40 years to be eligible for the post.

West Bengal Primary Teacher 2025 Exam Pattern

The five topics in Paper I are Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I: English, Language-II: Bengali, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies, according to the WB TET Primary TET Syllabus and Exam Pattern. Candidates must prepare for main courses such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Science or Social Studies in order to pass Paper II. There will be a choice between Mathematics and Science and Social Studies for Paper II.

• For classes 1 through 5, there will be a single paper in accordance with the WB Primary TET Exam Pattern.
• One mark will be awarded for 150 multiple-choice questions.
• The test will take place over the course of 2.4 hours for the candidates.
• Since WB TET is an eligibility test, wrong answers won't result in a deduction in score.
