Scribe Details for the AIIMS CRE Exam 2025 

The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016's Section 32(1) permits applicants with disabilities to apply under this category as long as their benchmark disability is equal to or greater than 40%. At the time of completing their application for the CRE at AIIMS 2025, candidates should indicate whether they would like to use their own scribe or request one from the Examination Section at AIIMS, New Delhi. If the candidate chooses to use their own scribe, more details about the scribe will be requested from the candidate prior to the exam. Please take note that all applicants who have been given seats under the PwBD category must undergo examinations by a medical board that AIIMS New Delhi has established in order to determine their eligibility for the position for which they have been selected. 

Rules of Scribe and Compensatory time 

The guidelines for scribe and compensatory time as stated in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment's OM dated August 29, 2018, the corrigendum dated February 8, 2019, and the OM dated August 10, 2022, which pertain to the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan).

Eligibility for Scribe and/or compensatory time:

Individuals classified as Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) as per Section 2(r) of the RPWD Act, 2016.

• As per Appendix A, Part A-1, individuals with benchmark disabilities in the categories of blindness, cerebral palsy, and locomotor disability (affecting both arms) (BA) will be given access to a scribe upon request, against self-undertaking.
• According to Appendix A Part A-1, PwBD candidates who fall under the categories of blindness, cerebral palsy, and locomotor disability (both arms affected) may request a compensatory twenty minutes per hour during the examination in lieu of self-undertaking.
• Other categories of persons with benchmark disabilities as defined by Section 2(r) of the RPWD Act, 2016 may be eligible for compensatory time and scribe services provided they can produce a certificate from the Chief Medical Officer, Civil Surgeon, or Medical Superintendent of a government health care facility attesting to the applicant's physical limitations in writing and stating that a scribe is required to write the examination on their behalf using the prescribed proforma (Appendix A, both parts A-1 and A-2).
