TS EDCET 2025 is an important entrance exam for all those candidates who are looking forward to getting admission in B.Ed. courses in Telangana. This examination will be conducted by Kakatiya University on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TCHE) on June 1, 2025. What is TS EDCET?

TS EDCET is a common entrance test conducted for admission to B.Ed. programs of two years' duration offered by several universities and colleges in the state. TS EDCET is conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TCHE). The exam tests candidates on topics such as General English, General Knowledge, Teaching aptitude and subject-wise topics that relate to the B.Ed. curriculum. TS EDCET is one of the important entry points for state-level aspirant teachers.

TS EDCET Admission Process 2025

The admission process for TS EDCET 2025 consists of several important steps, which are necessary for candidates to gain admission into the B.Ed. program:

• TS EDCET Application Form: Candidates need to fill up the TS EDCET 2025 application form online through the official exam website. The application process also requires payment of the exam fee, which is INR 650, to be paid online.
• TS EDCET Admit Card: Soon after submitting the application form successfully, the aspirants can download their admit card or hall ticket by visiting the official website. The applicants have to put in their registration number along with their date of birth in order to obtain the same.
• TS EDCET Exam: The TS EDCET 2025 examination is to be attempted by the students at the provided exam centers. The test contains 150 multiple-choice questions, which the applicants must answer in a period of 2 hours.
• TS EDCET Result: After taking the exam, the result will be declared on the official website. The candidates need to score at least 25% of the total marks, i.e., 38 marks. In contrast, no minimum marks will apply for SC/ST candidates or women candidates appearing for Physical Sciences or Mathematics methodology.
• TS EDCET Rank Card: For each methodology, a separate rank list is generated, and the candidates are ranked based on their performance in the exam. Candidates can download their rank card from the official website.
• TS EDCET Counselling: The final process is the web-based counselling session, where candidates are allotted seats in Colleges of Education in Telangana based on their ranks and preferred methodologies.

How to Fill TS EDCET Application Form 2025?

Aspirants who wish to take admission to the B.Ed course are required to fill out the TS EDCET application form online. Candidates can follow the step-wise instructions given below to apply for the TS EDCET Entrance Exam.

Step 2: In the Admission section, click on the “Fill Admission Form” tab.

Step 3: Pay the admission fee online using payment methods like credit/debit cards, UPI or Net Banking.

Step 4: Login using the reference ID you received on your registered email ID or phone number. Proceed to fill out the form.

Step 5: Provide all mandatory details carefully. Try to not make any mistakes.

Step 6: Attach scanned copies of all the required documents.

TS EDCET Application Fee 2025

In order to start filling out the application form, candidates have to first pay an application fee online. The category-wise application fee has been mentioned in the table below. This TS EDCET admission fee has to be paid online. This can be done through online payment methods like Net Banking, UPI or using the credit or debit cards. TS EDCET Selection Process 2025

TS EDCET will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Candidates can take the test at a convenient time without being subjected to a particular schedule. There will be 150 objective-type questions in the question paper, and all these questions will be designed to assess the candidates' knowledge and aptitude in various subjects that are relevant for the B.Ed. course. 

The exam is to be completed in 2 hours, which forces the candidates to manage their time well while trying to answer as many questions as possible. Since the CBT format allows the exam to be streamed and standardized in its delivery to all candidates, one can be guaranteed that all students are assessed in the same terms. TS EDCET Reservation Criteria

The TS EDCET 2025 exam follows the rules set by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) in its reservation criteria. Seats are allotted based on Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Physically Challenged (PC) candidates. Thus, candidates should know the respective reservation criteria for maximum admission chances. TS EDCET Counselling 2025

The TS EDCET Counselling 2025 will begin right after the result declaration, wherein the exam conducting authority will release the detailed schedule of the counselling procedure. The process will be undertaken in phases. All the shortlisted candidates will have to get themselves registered online by paying the prescribed counseling fee. During the process, candidates would be subjected to document verification and filling out of their choices for colleges and courses, as well as participation in seat allocation based on their merit and category. Candidates should carry original documents, including rank cards, certificates, and ID proofs, to be verified. After allotting a seat, candidates are asked to report to the assigned institution and complete all admission formalities within the specified time frame.

TS EDCET Eligibility Criteria 2025

The TS EDCET eligibility criteria needs to be fulfilled to be considered for the TS EDCET Entrance Exam. These criteria are related to the candidate’s age, educational background and nationality. The TS EDCET eligibility criteria are explained in detail below.

• Candidates appearing for the TS EDCET Exam must be Indian nationals.
• Candidates appearing for the TS EDCET Exam must fall under the age limit prescribed in the TS EDCET Notification 2025. The minimum age requirement is 19 years as of 1st July 2025 and the maximum age requirement is not applicable.
• Candidates must have any Bachelor's Degree i.e. B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Sc (Home Science), BCA, BBM, B.A (Oriental Languages), BBA or in the Masters Degree, securing at least 50% aggregate marks.
• The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for TS Ed.CET-2025.

Note: As per the GO MS No. 13 dated. 27/5/2017, the candidates possessing MBBS/BSC (AG)/BVSC/BHMT/B.Pharm. and such other professional and job-oriented degree courses Viz. LLB are not eligible for admission into the B.Ed. course.

Candidates possessing a Master Degree without having undertaken undergraduate study are not eligible for admission.

TS EDCET Entrance Exam Pattern 2025

TS EDCET Answer Key 2025

The TS EDCET Answer Key 2025 will be published by the conducting authority in a short time after the commencement of the test. In such cases, candidates can access it through the official website to verify their responses against the correct answers. Objections can also be raised on the provisional answer key within the specified period. Considering all the objections, the final answer key will be published, which will be used to calculate the marks of the candidates.

TS EDCET Cut Off 2025

The minimum qualifying marks gained by one candidate to get eligible for a counselling process. It also varies according to candidates appearing for the exam, the number of students encountered in the exam, its level of difficulty, etc. For general candidates, they should have at least 25% marks of 38 marks as the qualifying score. However, there is no minimum cut-off for SC/ST candidates and women candidates appearing for specific methodologies like Mathematics and Physical Sciences. TS EDCET Result 2025
