UKPSC AE Eligibility Criteria 2025
The candidates who wish to apply for the UKPSC AE vacancies need to make sure whether they satisfy the eligibility criteria or not. The criteria have been defined in terms of educational qualification, age limit, and nationality.
A. UKPSC AE Educational Qualification
- The candidate must have completed a degree in engineering in the relevant/concerned stream from a recognized university.
- The candidates who are fully qualified associate members of the Institute of Engineers (India) and have qualified relevant certification can also apply.

UKPSC AE Selection Process 2025
The candidates will have to undergo an objective type test first. The total marks for this test shall be 1020. The successful candidates will be later called for an interview. The total marks for this interview shall be 100. Hence the 2 stages of selection are:

UKPSC AE Exam Pattern (Expected)
- The exam shall consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions only.
- For every wrong answer, 1/4th of the assigned mark for that question shall be deducted.
- In case of multiple options selected, the same negative marking rule shall be applicable.
- The total marks for the written exam will be 1020.

UKPSC AE Salary
The salary structure i.e. Level of Pay, Pay scale etc will be mentioned in the official notification. The candidates successful in scoring marks equivalent to UKPSC AE cut off marks will be appointed as Assistant Engineers. The final in-hand salary of a candidate after all the deductions is expected to come down to around INR 60,000 to INR 68,000 in 2021.
