The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has announced the VITMEE Counselling dates for the year 2023 on the official website between 16th & 23rd April 2023. VITMEE is an entrance examination conducted for admission of candidates in postgraduate courses in the Institute. Only those candidates who are shortlisted can participate in the VITMEE 2023 Counseling. Shortlist is based on the merit list, which is based on the candidate's performance.

• Candidates will be short-listed for online counselling on the basis of their performance in the VIT Master’s Entrance Examination (VITMEE) Rank. Short-listed candidates should pay Rs.1 lakh towards advance fee. 
• If the candidate withdraws their admission the processing fees of Rs. 11,800/- will be deducted from the advance fee, but it will be adjusted in the tuition fees once the candidate joins the Institute. VITMEE Counselling Dates 2023

VITMEE Counselling 2023 - Complete Process

The authorities will be conducting the VITMEE Counselling 2023 in online mode. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the VITMEE 2023 rank list will be eligible for the VITMEE counselling and seat allotment process. Keep an eye out for updates on the official website. Below are the step-wise details and process. 

Step 1: Online Registration: Candidates need to register for the VITMEE exam on the official website.

Step 2: Release of Merit List: VITMEE 2023 merit list will be prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in VITMEE 2023.

Step 3: Choice Filling: Candidates have to select their preferred campus and course.

Step 4: Counselling Call Letter: A counselling Call letter will be issued to the shortlisted candidates after document verification.

Step 5: Seat Allotment: Candidates will be allotted a seat and an admission letter after the counselling process.

Step 6: Payment of Fee: Candidates need to make an advance payment of the fee.

Step 7: Report to Allotted College/Institute – The dates for the conduct of classes and induction will be announced shortly on the official website

What Options will be Available after VITMEE Seat Allotment? 

After seat allotment, the following steps have to follow- 

• Fee Remittance- The prescribed fee for the allotted course and college will have to be remitted by the candidate to the account of the VIT in the specified Post Office or in online mode as per the schedule. After payment of the fee in the first VITMEE seat allotment, a fee receipt will be issued to the candidates. Candidates who will not pay the fee before the last date will lose their seat allotment as well as all the existing options in the stream to which the allotment belongs. 
• Reporting at the College- After payment, candidates will have to report to the allotted colleges as per the schedule, along with all the required documents for the Document verification process.

VITMEE Seat Allotment 2023 

VITMEE 2023 seat allotment result is being released online for every phase. Candidates will be able to check their allotment results by logging in using their application number and password. The candidates are allotted seats based on their VITMEE 2023 rank, preferences, and availability of seats. To confirm their allotment, the candidates will have to pay a part of the fee or the full fee before the last date. Failure to pay the fee will lead to the cancellation of admission.

Documents Required for Verification after VITMEE Seat Allotment 2023

Candidates will have to report to the allotted colleges as per the schedule after the counseling procedure and fee payment is done. Candidates shortlisted for VITMEE 2023 Counselling need to carry the required documents for the Document verification process. 

• X and XII Std Marks statement
• Mark Sheets of all semesters/ years of the qualifying examination upto pre-final / final year as applicable
• Qualifying Degree /Provisional Certificate(If already received)
• Transfer/Migration/College Leaving Certificate obtained from the Institute last studied. (If already received) (Original)
• Valid GATE Score Card (If available)
• Aadhaar Card
• Service Certificate issued by the Employer. (For sponsored candidates - for M.Tech. programmes only)
• Community Certificate (only for SC/ST categories)
• Conduct Certificate (Original)
• Nativity Certificate (for Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and North Eastern States)
• Student Profile
• Physical Fitness Certificate 
• Admission letter and a photocopy of the programme fee receipt
• Two copies of recent passport size colour photograph
• An undertaking for good conduct and behavior in a prescribed form (to be issued by the University/Institute at the time of admission)
• Affidavit to be signed separately by the student & parent in Rs.20/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper and same has to be attested by Notary Public.
