I.E নিয়ম 48 অনুযায়ী:
- স্থাপন এবং ভূমিগত তারের মধ্যে অন্তরণ রোধের মান এমন হওয়া উচিত যে নিষ্কাশিত তড়িৎ প্রবাহ 1/5000 ভাগ বা সম্পূর্ণ ভারপূর্ণ তড়িৎ প্রবাহের 0.02 শতাংশের বেশি না হতে পারে।
- একটি আলোর বর্তনীতে অনুমোদিত ভোল্টেজ ড্রপ সরবরাহ ভোল্টেজের চেয়ে এক ভোল্ট 2% বেশি।
- পাওয়ার ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল বর্তনীতে সর্বাধিক অনুমোদিত ভোল্টেজ ড্রপ ঘোষিত সরবরাহ ভোল্টেজের 5% এর বেশি হওয়া উচিত নয়।
- যেকোনো তারের স্থাপনের অন্তরণ রোধের 1MΩ এর কম হওয়া উচিত নয়।
- পৃথিবীর রোধের মান এক Ω এর বেশি হওয়া উচিত নয়।
