Given:

Ratio of two sides = 3 : 5

Perimeter = 96 cm

Formula used:

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2 x (sum of adjacent sides)

Calculations:

Let the sides be 3x and 5x.

Perimeter = 2 x (3x + 5x)

96 = 2 x (8x)

96 = 16x

⇒ x = 96 / 16

⇒ x = 6

Adjacent sides are 3x and 5x.

3x = 3 x 6 = 18 cm

5x = 5 x 6 = 30 cm

∴ The adjacent sides of the parallelogram are 18 cm and 30 cm.
