ESIC Paramedical Exam Pattern and Selection Process 2023

The candidates appearing for the ESIC Paramedical Exam must qualify the written examination, as the final selection is based on the performance of the candidate in the written exam. For the Junior Medical Record Technician and Optometrist/Refractionist posts, the candidates are selected based on the performance of the candidates in the Written Exam and the Computer test. Written Test

The exam consists of questions from 2 subjects: Technical knowledge and Aptitude/General Awareness/General Intelligence/ Arithmetic Ability. For each correct answer, the candidate is awarded 1 mark in the ESIC Exam and 0.25 marks are penalized for every wrong answer. Computer Skill Test

The Computer Skill Test is conducted for the Junior Medical Record Technician and Optometrist/Refractionist posts. The candidates must qualify the Written Test and the Computer Skill Test to get selected for the post. The test is divided into 2 parts: For the candidates who are exempted from typing and for the candidates who are not exempted from typing. The exam pattern for the test is as follows:

Computer Skill Test (Qualifying in Nature) for candidates not exempted from typing:

The Computer Skill Test for the candidates who are not exempted from typing is divided into 3 parts as given below. The total duration of the test is for 30 minutes conducted for 50 marks. 

Computer Skill Test (Qualifying in Nature) for candidates exempted from typing:

Candidates who are unable to type due to their disabilities shall be assessed by holding a Written Examination (Objective Type) consisting of questions related to computers. The duration of the exam is for 30 minutes with a 10-minute exception for the visually disabled candidates. The test is divided into 5 parts conducted for 50 marks.
