Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
The ratio of length and breadth of a rectangle = 3 : 2
Formula used:
if A is the length and B is the breadth of the rectangle, then
Area of rectangle = A × B
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(A + B)
Calculation:
let length and breadth be 3x and 2x respectively
Now, According to the question
⇒ 3x × 2x = 150
⇒ 6x2 = 150
⇒ x2 = 25
⇒ x = 5
length = 3 × 5 = 15 cm
breadth =2 × 5 = 10 cm
perimeter of rectangle = 2(15 + 10)
perimeter of rectangle = 50 cm
∴The perimeter of the rectangle is 50 cm.
