Given:

Three partners  P, Q and R invested a total of Rs. 52,000 in a business.

At the end of the year, P got Rs. 1430, Q got Rs. 1870 and R got Rs. 2420 as the share of profit.

Concept used:

Their investment is as per their profit ratio.

Calculation:

Their profit ratio is

⇒ 1430 : 1870 : 2420 = 143 : 187 : 242

As per the question,

Value of (143 +187 + 242) unit = 572 unit is 52000

So value of 187 unit is ,

⇒ (52000 / 572) × 187 = Rs 17000

∴ The correct option is 3
