Given:

Side = (2x + 5) cm

Perimeter = 28 cm

Formula used:

Perimeter = 4 × Side

Calculation:

Side = (2x + 5) cm

Perimeter = 4 × Side

⇒ 28 = 4(2x + 5)

⇒ 2x + 5 = 7

⇒ 2x = 2

⇒ x = 1

∴ The value of x is 1.
